Photography workshops for 2011

These workshops are carefully planned by professional wildlife photographer Jari Peltomäki and by Kuusamo specialist Olli Lamminsalo. This list below gives only the ”highlight species” , but most workshops offer great chances to photograph for other species as well. Please, don´t hesitate to ask for further information about the workshops!

In Finnature photography workshops we always keep groupsize small, so everybody will get the best possible chance for the photos. In Finnature workshops your photos will be more unique! 

Owl situation for the year 2011 looks very promising especially in Oulu and Kuusamo areas. We have only two workshops available for breeding owls and you can find the dates below. They will surely fill up quickly- so please book your workshop early!

Dates for winter owl photography workshops we will send out in Finnature newsflash when we know for sure that the owls are photographable! So, if you are interested in winter owlphotography, please make sure that you subscribe Finnature newsletter!

30.1.- 5.2.2011 Snowy Owls in Quebec, Canada.

Quebec might  the best place in the world to photograph these white owls from the arctic tundra. We wil need to wait until we know for sure that the owls are there before we book the flights. Price for the trip 2695 euros.

30.1.- 4.2.2011 Dalmatian Pelicans at Lake Kerkini, Greece.

Lake Kerkini is the best place in the world to photograph magnificent Dalmatian Pelicans. Local fishermen are feeding the pelicans and with their help we are able to get very close! Price for the trip 1940 euros.

Hokkaido in winter offers unique photography opportunities! Number of birds on this arctic island is unbelievable! The whole experience in arctic Hokkaido is great - food is also good and  you should not miss Japanese bath! Price for the trip is 3290 euros.

1.- 5.3.2011 Lammergeiers, Griffon- and Black Vultures in Pyrenees, Catalonia.

There are couple of places in Pyrenees where you can photograph these beautiful vultures from hides. We are going to spend three full days in hide. Price for the trip is 1650 euros.

Varanger is the place to photograph Siberian waterfowl species King- and Steller´s Eiders. Also in early spring Long-tailed Ducks can be very photogenic in harbours. Hornoay birdisland is difficult place to get to in early spring, but we have managed to get there every spring in last four years. Price for the trip 2990 euros.
